the continuation

...never in my life have I been so horrified, except for maybe the time my hand got stuck in the bus door right in front of the President, but, that's another story, what I saw at the end of the aisle gave me goose bumps and I could feel the blood draining from my tense face. There, not twenty feet from me stood a giant thing. Yes, a thing. It had brown and gray hair all over it's body sticking every which way and it's eyes where glowing yellow orbs of hatred. It had long sharp teeth and crooked fingernails that where in dire need of a manicure. I get my nails done at Pampa Do's but I don't think they serve his kind there, whatever his kind is.

I wasn't sure what to do now, it didn't seem to notice that I had seen him and I was just thinking of going back to my cart and finishing my shopping, after all, this really wasn't my problem. Then all of a sudden he turned. We both froze, eyes locked. It seemed like hours but I'm sure it was only seconds.

The thing finally moved and it did so with alarming speed. It jumped the corner into the cleaning products aisle. I decided to climb the shelves to get a better view.
Perched precariously on top of the V8 I saw him. He was tearing into a bag of 2000 flushes toilet bowl cleaners. I decided it was now or never.

I whipped out my gun and aimed for his head.
BANG! BANG! BANG!!!
Grabbing for his leg he fell to the floor in a pile of agony.
I wiped my sweaty brow and decided to head to the freezer cases to cool off.
I had just stepped in with the eggs when the lights came back on.

I looked out and could just make out three Haz-mat suits with people in them running down the center aisle towards the cleaners.
Before I could say "my pickle is purple" they had both the thing and the Hispanic woman both zipped up and whisked away.

I slipped my gun back into the holster and picked up a carton of jumbo eggs.
As I stepped out of the freezer case I couldn't help but wonder what the men in the suits looked like. I headed back to my cart picking up some boxed juice on the way, they were on sale after all. Heading toward the check out I decided I would never shop at Wal-mart again.
Their produce looked withered.

This really happened! I'm not even kidding!

So I was at the grocery store the other day trying to find the allspice, minding my own business, when I hear a blood curdling scream from the next aisle.

At first I didn't know what to do, I froze. Then another scream and the power shuts off. Now it's pitch dark and I'm fumbling around trying to find my purse, spices were falling off the shelf and breaking open on the floor filling the air with powerful aromas, I found my purse and pulled out my penlight. Now what?

Should I go to the next aisle? It's the juice aisle I think and who knows what I might find there.

The onion powder was about to make me sneeze so I move. I'm at the end cap now. I realize how eerily quiet it is. There aren't any clerks or other customers around, at least, I don't think so. Then I hear it, a muffled cry and an odd scratching that reminds me of my cat Tinker sharpening her claws on my 5000 dollar leather armchair.

I'm terrified but I muster up all the courage I have left and turn the corner. A bone chilling scream rips through the dark!!! Then I realize the scream is coming from my mouth. Silence. My penlight pierces the black like a needle in a piece of fabric. I can barely make out what appears to be a hand, followed by an arm and then a body. It's a woman, Hispanic maybe, with blond hair and a terrible shade of orange lipstick. She is laying a pool of blood! I can't help but think it could have been a better shade then that awful orange.

This is worse then I thought. I'll have to leave my cart full of carefully selected produce. It's a good thing I packed my Magnum .357. I whip it out of it's holster and inch my way along the boxes of bags of juice. I hate those things, the stupid straw never goes in without having to squeeze the bag so hard that it squirts liquid all over my new white shirt. Hum, they're on sale.

Something or perhaps someone catches my attention away from the juice, there, at the end of the aisle. I shine my penlight down the row and ...(to be continued)

The Return

Well, it seems that some of our long lost bloggers have come home.
Welcome back Stephenie and Jeff!
I would fill you all in on the happenings since you've been away if there were any.
I know that my blog does not have enough technical prowess or interesting muses to keep the world interesting. Most people only visit my blog on their way to other blogs. No, it's O.K. I understand. I'm just saying that I'm grateful for the return of the true bloggers who keep all of us "wanna be's" in business.

I want to blog about exciting things and far off places but coupons and the grocery store are about as exotic as it gets during my normal week.
I'm thinking that people don't really care to read a blog about these things.
Maybe I should make up something.
An alternate reality. Yes! That's it.
Hahahahahahahaha... (that was a diabolical laugh in case you didn't know)
No longer will fiction and non-fiction be separate but they will collide into one GIGANTIC FUNNEL OF MAYHEM!!!!!
Hahaha...........HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
