I'm...so...tired.

I've been on the go for a couple of days now. I get up at six and head out for work between six-thirty and seven, then after a full day there I come home just to turn around and leave to run errands or whatnot, then I've been working on Christmas decorations after that till eight-thirty or so and that leaves me with just enough time to blog this and think of all the projects I still have to accomplish before the week is over. Do you know who I really like to read? David. I love to read the Psalms because whenever David was in a fix or made a mistake, he poured out his heart to God and he always ended with rejoicing in his Savior. Take the thirteenth Psalm just for an example. After David pleads with God to answer him and asks God to hear him, to save him, lest he perish, he says: "But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, he hath dealt bountifully with me." It is a declaration of faith over fear. David trusted in his God and even in the darkest of times when his soul seemed overwhelmed he would remember that his God was the God of his Salvation. I hope this brings you encouragement. I'm gonna go crash now.

I am... Maximus! and... Indiana Jones!

I went to Leslies site and she had a test to see which action hero you would be. Here are my results.

You scored as Maximus. After his family was murdered by the evil emperor Commodus, the great Roman general Maximus went into hiding to avoid Commodus's assassins. He became a gladiator, hoping to dominate the colosseum in order to one day get the chance of killing Commodus. Maximus is valiant, courageous, and dedicated. He wants nothing more than the chance to avenge his family, but his temper often gets the better of him.

Packers 2005

This shot shows how close we were to the field, it was awesome!!!! There were over 70,000 people at the game.
Here is Brett Favre walking back after warm-ups.
This is my good friend Chris D. before the game. I can't believe he wore his Viking hard hat to the game. He got some teasing but managed to find a few comrade simpletons or fellow loons or whatever you call Viking fans.
Here we all are before the game. We were about two hours early so we got a brat and chilled out, literally. All in all, we had a great time.

Found it!

I resently used the term "left in the lurch" and I was asked where this term came from. I found the origin on a web site and now I am posting it for all of you curious minds. left in the lurch - left stranded or perplexed - the word 'lurch' originates from 16th century French 'lourche', a game like backgammon; a 'lurch' in the card-game cribbage meant only scoring 31 against an opponent's score of 61, and this meaning of being left well behind was transferred to other games before coming into wider metaphoric use.

I forgot to eat.

I have so many things to do and not very much time. My brother and sister-in-law are coming into town and due to a slight mishap are going to be here on Sunday morning instead of Saturday which buys a little time. I have to go grocery shopping tonight, go to work in the morning at six so I can be off by nine and home in time to go with Jason to the rental car company before nine thirty, then I am going to meet Stephenie for a little scrapbook shopping and coffee at ten-thirty, I am very much looking forward to that, then I have to go with Jason, Chris and Zack to shop again for food for our trip to Green Bay and when I get home I would like to clean my room and maybe get a start on the manicotti I am making for lunch on Sunday in honor of Chris, for his birthday which I am more than happy to do. (manicotti is reeeeally good!) Anyway, I have to go now, I still haven't had dinner and mom is waiting for me to take her to the store.

Brrrrr!

I just can't believe the difference one week can have on the weather. It was so cold this morning when I went out to brush off my car that it made my fingers hurt really bad. So bad in fact,I could barely use them to drive. I guess this means that the winter weather has begun in earnest. All I can say is double Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I'm back

Sorry for so long a silence. My world is still not back to "normal" but I promised to write something happy and I will keep my promise. Please continue ,as I know you have, to pray for me when you think of me. That is all I will say. Now, here is a joke for you: An old man was driving down the road with his wife when he ran a stop sign, his wife didn't want to make him feel bad so she didn't say anything. Then he ran another one, she was startled but still kept quiet until he ran a third stop sign. She spoke up and said with a little panic in her voice, "Honey, did you realize that you just ran three stop signs!?" He said with surprise, " OH! I didn't know I was driving!" You can blame my Dad for that one. He told it this morning in church. Hee Hee Hee!

Anxiety

I am having an anxiety attack. I know the Word tells us to be anxious about nothing but as you know that is easier said than done. I don't want to be a complete downer today. I guess that means that I'm not going to write much. You know what they say, If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Just remember me in prayer today if you get a chance. Thanks. I hope everyone else is doing good. I will write something fun next time. Promise.

When are they going to get here?!

I was hopping around to everyone's spots and no one has anything new to say. I get so disappointed when there isn't anything new to read. It makes me feel like a little kid again when we were waiting for company to arrive. I would wait by the window for any sign of their car and every time I would see headlights I would get excited only to be let down when they drove by. "When are they going to get here Mom?" "When they pull in the driveway." was her classic response. "Are they still coming?"I would ask. "As far as I know." she would say. So now I say to you, "When are you going to update your spot?" And you say, "When I do." "Hummph."

A What?

I took a personality test to tell you what kind of occupation you would be if you lived in medieval times and they said that I would be a minstrel. WHAT!? Does anyone else agree? Do I look like a minstrel to you? I was kinda thinkin' I was like a Joan of Arc without all the weird demonic stuff or maybe even a princess. Those tests are not accurate at all.

power outage

Our power went out tonight. I was in the basement about to login on the computer when every thing was plunged into complete darkness. It was eerily quiet as I groped my way along the hall and up the stairs to my room to find my flashlight and lantern. The only sound was the wind whistling in the windows and for one terrifying moment I felt as if I were being watched. It was just like a horror movie. I half expected someone to jump out and try to strangle me. Everything turned out O.K. I found the lantern and my brother Jason and I am still alive. I will have to remember not to forget that God is bigger than the boogie man!

Changes

As you can see I am doing some work on my spot. I got my new chatterbox installed, I rewrote my profile, added some links, and I enabled the pop-up comment box with word verification. Now I just need to get some interesting pics and I will be a happenin' spot. Two weeks from Monday I will be at a football game. Not just any game, but the GreenBay Packers VS. minnesota vikings in Green Bay! And I will be going with all four of my bros, the coolest guys around. It's gonna be awesome! Does it feel like November to anyone? I am having the hardest time getting into the swing of the holiday season. It just doesn't feel right. It feels like it is still September or something.
