two weeks

It's been almost two weeks of not posting and I feel like such a slacker.
Christmas is over now : ( and my life is somewhat back to normal. I don't have to run out to the store and buy any more gifts or tape or boxes or....
I had a wonderful Christmas and I hope that all of you did too.
I have the rest of the week off and I know that I'm going to have to take a day to clean my room. It has been the most aweful mess this past month and I can't stand it anymore. I can't find my bed under the pile of clothes.
I'm am getting sleepy...very sleepy...Goodnight.

Ha Ha Ha, Hee Hee Hee, Snort...

  • Things to Do in an Elevator
  • 1) When there's only one other person in the elevator, tap him on the shoulder and then pretend it wasn't you.
  • 2) Push the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more.
  • 3) Ask if you can push the button for other people, but push the wrong ones.
  • 4) Call the Psychic Hotline from your cell phone and ask if they know what floor you're on.
  • 5) Hold the doors open and say you're waiting for a friend. After a while, let the doors close, and say, "Hi Greg. How's your day been?"
  • 6) Drop a pen and wait until someone goes to pick it up, then scream, "That's mine!"
  • 7) Bring a camera and take pictures of everyone in the elevator.
  • 8) Move your desk into the elevator and whenever anyone gets on, ask if he has an appointment.
  • 9) Lay down the Twister mat and ask people if they would like to play.
  • 10) Leave a box in the corner, and when someone gets on, ask him if he can hear ticking.
  • 11) Pretend you are a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the passengers.
  • 12) Ask, "Did you feel that?"
  • 13) Stand really close to someone, sniffing him occasionally.
  • 14) When the doors close, announce to the others, "It's okay, don't panic, they open again!"
  • 15) Swat at flies that don't exist.
  • 16) Tell people that you can see their aura.
  • 17) Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering, "Shut up, all of you, just shut up!"
  • 18) Crack open your briefcase or purse, and while peering inside, ask, "Got enough air in there?"
  • 19) Stand silently and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.
  • 20) Stare at another passenger for awhile, then announce in horror, "You're one of THEM!" and back away slowly.
  • 21) Wear a puppet on your hand and use it to talk to the other passengers.
  • 22) Listen to the elevator walls with your stethoscope.
  • 23) Make explosion noises when anyone presses a button.
  • 24) Stare, grinning at another passenger for a while, and then announce, "I have new socks on."
  • 25) Draw a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers, "This is MY personal space!"

Hello Everyone!

I just thought I would tell everyone that I'm still alive and kickin'
I haven't had anything to blog about unless you want to hear about my Christmas shopping. I'm almost done. I am waiting on one more paycheck and then I just have to make up my mind on a few ideas for some gifts. I think that's the hardest part, making up my mind. I bought a Veggie Tales CD a couple of months ago just for fun, yes, for myself, anyway I want to pass on this warning to anyone who is considering purchasing one: They are highly addictive tunes! You can get them unmercifully stuck in your head for days. Proceed with caution. Well, I think that's all for now. I hope everyone is doing well.

I got a couple of chuckles...

There's really no fun in being sensible all the time....— L. M. Montgomery, from ANNE OF INGLESIDE ~I used to work as a technical support analyst for a large computer corporation and I got lots of stupid people who called with stupid questions, wondering why their computers weren't working. One of the best ones was a lady who called from her office one day, and she said her screen was black. I asked her if the computer was turned on, she said that it was. It almost confused me, but I'm used to working with stupid people, so I asked her to make sure it was on by checking the power switches and to make sure it was plugged in. She told me that she couldn't do that because the power was down in the building she worked in and it was too dark to see. ~A technician got a call for help. A customer said he could not get his computer to fax anything. After 40 minutes of trouble shooting the tech discovered the man was trying to fax a piece of paper by holding it in front of the monitor screen and hitting the "SEND" key. ~Part of my job consists of teaching computer classes to other employees. One day in my Basic Computer class I instructed the class to move the mouse to the upper left corner of the screen and click on the menu. One student complained that nothing happened. I asked him to try it again while I watched him. He picked up his mouse and placed it on the monitor and clicked. His only defense is that he works for the government.

Howdy everybody!!

Time goes by so quickly, doesn't it? Man, it's already December and in a month it will be 2006. If you have anything you want to get done before the year is over you better hurry. I suppose it's too late to try fitting into a size two dress or take a tour of all the wonders of the world but, it's never too late to try to mend a relationship or share the Gospel with someone or do a few good deeds. Someone called in on the radio this morning and was commenting on the hopeless faces of people in the stores as thy try to find the perfect gift for someone. Their solution was that they don't buy any presents at Christmas and they just focus on Jesus. Well, I don't think this is a good solution. Jesus was the greatest gift of all and we should focus on him but instead of avoiding stores and not buying gifts, why don't we remember to shine as lights in those hectic stores, let people go in front of us, give the last "hot item" to someone else, offer smiles to all and when we give our gifts away, give them in the name of Jesus as a blessing for his glory. I think this gives God more credit than hiding in our homes with religious piety. So, I offer all of you a very Merry Christmas!
