The accident

This past March I was in a car accident. I was coming down Whitelake Dr. when this truck pulled out in front of me from Durham Rd. and the roads were icy so I couldn't stop and he wasn't accelerating. I tried to go around but my tires couldn't pick up traction on the icy roads so I ran into the back of the truck then slid off the road into the ditch.
The police officer issued the driver of the truck a ticket for failing to yield and I was told I could leave so I did.
Then I started finding out just how wonderful our Michigan "no-fault" insurance is. It's dumb!
My insurance only covers damages to my vehicle if it's parked in a beauty salon parking lot with the left door locked and my cat in the back seat wearing a fuchia bandana and the damages are under 19 dollars, which of course is before the five-hundred dollar deductible.
Sooooo, I call his insurance company and file a mini-tort claim which, even though it sounds like it, is not something from the bakery even though it might as well be because I found out that the other driver has an option to deny my claim and he did. I called him and asked why he felt he should do this and he said that he felt that the accident wasn't all his fault and he had the nerve, bless his heart, to tell me that maybe I was distracted or going too fast or maybe I had enough time to stop but didn't react fast enough...he went down to the county to contest the ticket and he won by default because the officer didn't show up.
I did some serious praying after I wiped the tears of frustration from my eyes.
I called Chris and he did some work for me. What a great guy! He called a lawyer and found out that I can have the ticket reissued if I call the officer that issued it and then I can get my money either from the insurance or I might have to go to small claims court.
I feel kinda bad about this but I am tired of losing all the time. I am not going to be stepped on.
I prayed for this man and I want to be Christ like in this matter. Please pray for me. I need wisdom and favor.

Pretty little me

Hey there.

This is just a glimpse into my typical work day. I like to dress up for work, It helps me feel more professional. I love my job and can't wait to get there every day. Thank you Lord for providing this job for me. I just hope that other, less fortunate people, don't get jealous of my amazing good looks. I know that not everyone can be as stunning as I am but what they lack in looks they probably make up for in "character". I do feel bad for them though, it must be hard to go through life always comparing themselves to me. Anyways, as I was saying, my typical work day consists of several glam shots like the one above, modeling, making a movie here and there, signing autographs, and constantly dodging the poparazzi. It's an amazing life. By the way dahlings, I've narrowed down my search for the perfect island for me to buy and I'll post them soon for your input. Thanks so much.

Starbucks, Episode One. (or, Finally! some pics!)

Here we all are, Penny, Ethen, Me, and LeslieA view of our hotel from the ground.

The story begins:
It's seven a.m. on Saturday the 8th of April.
An alien noise has awoken me from my fitful slumber, I try to tune it out but it persists. I roll over and bump into a lifeless body, I recoil in horror. Where am I? Who is this? What's going on here? Then it all comes back to me in an instant. Detroit, Leslie, Ethen's cry...I need some coffee.
I crawl out of bed and fumble around for my things. I manage to grope my way through the darkness to the door and out, out into the blazing lights of the hallway. After my temporary blindness subsides I see the elevators. I focus on the doors and take my first wobbly step. Victory.
This isn't so bad, I can do this.
I think someone said "Good morning" but I can't be sure. They were, perhaps, a little too chipper to be human, if you know what I mean. I take the elevator to the third floor and step out. Little did I know, that was to be the beginning of an adventure I would never forget.
I take a left and go over the bridge, then a right and across a catwalk, then a left over another bridge and around a couple of corners until I see an escalator. I take it the second level, and go to the right after crossing yet another bridge. I come to a balcony and I can see the Starbucks, only, it's seperated from me by a chasm of unequaled proportions and the only visible entry is a bridge that is yet another floor down. I briefly consider my options. (a.) backup, run and jump (b.)scream for help (c.) call Starbucks and ask for directions (d.) continue to look for the entry point on my own. I decide that option (d.) is the most logical because first, I don't feel like going to the hospital this early in the morning, secondly, there was no one around to hear my screams and lastly, I don't see a phone. It takes five more minutes and countless more catwalks, bridges and corners before I finally make it to level one and the Starbucks. The shop is strangely dark but I see a worker and inquire about my much needed java jolt. He has the nerve to tell me they don't open 'till seven. HelllllllO! It's gotta be like seven thirty by now, right? The clocks in our room are incorrect. I have a twenty five minute wait for my joe. So, I decide to curl up in the chair on a pod (see second pic below)because I now have too much time and energy involved to turn back now. I pull out my Bible and call Chris. (I guess I could've called Starbucks) So, we have a pleasant little devotion and my attitude is better, I feel happy now. It's seven o'two and I'm turning around to finally get my coffee...my mouth falls to the floor, twenty-five people! I counted twenty-five people in line. I only had my back turned for a couple of minutes. Forget it. I stopped caring. I never got my mocha. Dejected I walk out of starbucks, turn the corner, get on the elevator, get off on floor 31 and...wait a minute...no, that can't be. I don't believe it. Yup, it's true. The elevator does go to level one and the Starbucks is only ten feet from the doors. I don't think Detroit likes me and that's O.K. I'm not it's biggest fan either. I didn't really want coffee anyway.
A sideways view of the catwalks, kinda how I felt.

A pod, or at least, that's what I called them. They overlook the hotels catwalk system and are about forty feet above the ground and about the same from the ceilings. A great place to hang out, literally

Still Nothing.

I still couldn't get my pics on my blog last night. I think it's my brothers computer. It has issues.
Maybe someday I'll put them on Click Away but for now I'm just gonna get on with life.
I'm GEEKED! I'm going golfing this Saturday! I've really got the itch. I've been talking about it for a couple of months now, you can even ask Colleen. There just isn't anything quite like it, you know, the feeling you get when you hit the ball just right and you know it. It takes off like a rocket right toward the green and everyone looks on in awe. Then of course it takes you twenty putts to get it in and that look of awe fades into a look of unbelief and impatience. We usually play golf scramble which means that everyone tees off and then everyone drops their ball at the best one and so on. If we didn't play that way, a nine hole course could take us three hours. At least for the first month of the season anyway. So what does everyone else have on the agenda for the weekend? Fun stuff I hope.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I am rather irritated. I spent an hour and a half last night loading my Detroit pics and blogging about my trip when blogger decided to have technical difficulties and I lost it all. I'm just gonna tell you guys about my trip and try to load the pics later on tonight. My trip wasn't all that exciting so I don't want to keep you all in suspence just to be let down by a boring entry.
We got to Ford field at about ten in the morning on Friday and Abby came down to give us all passes into the stadium. Leslie said we would only be there for about an hour, two at the most. So, six hours later we are still waiting for Leslie to finish hanging out with her friends so we can go. We are starving or at least that's what it feels like because it's been over nine hours scince our last meal. Finally, we get to go to the hotel. It's a beautiful hotel but a tad confusing. We had to take an elevator to the third floor for the lobby and then a second set of elevators to our room which wasn't so bad compared to trying to find the Starbucks, but that's another story. Leslie went back to ATF for the evening service so Mrs. Hall, Penny, Ethen, and I decided to find some food. Leslie took the car so we decided to take the People Mover. It's a neat system of electric cars that ride on elevated track that only costs fifty cents to ride. It cost Mrs. Hall 1.50 however, as she had the Dickens of a time trying to get the gate to open. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe which was a first for me. Good cheeseburgers. We went to Ben & Jerry's for dessert, yummm. We were going to check out some shops but the shops all closed at seven and the streets were deserted. Kinda errie really. I'm glad we decided to go back to the hotel anyway cause my poor little tummy wasn't feeling very good. There was a RedWings game going on so we had to wait for a while before we found a people mover with enough room for all of us and the stroller.
Day two saw Leslie back at the stadium and the rest of us spent the day at the malls. We checked out the Auburn Hills mall and it was so huge that by nine o clock at night we still hadn't finished looking so we decide to come back on day three. Now, I'm not much of a shopper so this all day shopping stuff was a stretch for me and I think I've had my fill of malls for at least a year, maybe two, but, Sandy and Penny...I think they could shop for days and weeks. By the time I got back to the hotel my poor little feets were so tired they crawled into bed before I did. At least I did find a couple of things on Sunday so the shopping wasn't all in vain. Did you know that a gourmet chocolate covered strawberry only costs three dollars! I passed on that deal. I enjoyed getting to know Penny a little more and exploring the hotel was fun but, I really didn't see Leslie much and that was kinda wierd because she's the one that invited me in the first place. I'm glad to be back. I missed my blogger buddies and I just put a laptop on the top of my wish list.

DETROIT

I'm off to Detroit tomorrow. Mrs. Hall, Penny, Leslie, little Ethan, and I are going on an adventure and won't be back untill Sunday. I've never been to Detroit just for fun before so I'm not sure what there is to do. I'm sure we'll do at least a little shopping. I will miss my blogger buddies and hope nothing too exciting happens while I'm away. As everyone knows, I like to get my two cents worth in. I will chat with you all when I return and hopefully I'll have some great pics to share. Ta ta for now.

Very Important.

Does anyone know why earthworms end up all over the pavement after it rains?
It's like pure suicide for them. Why? I really need to know, it's bugging me.
